I myself haven't had an instance on either side of this, however I have just recieved info that CCP has given the thumbs up on it being ok

do you and viceroy have programs running that tell you when the would scam or exploit come up in forums or are u always scanning them? 
i care not to delve in this either, however for sake of clarity it would seem to be the same as a vet player taking out a "true" new player by blowing up his ship?

the best thing i can think of is maybe ccp can add to the faq's or q&a section about inspecting merchandise (maybe its there i didnt read squat cuz the manual that came with game was actually close to being up to date  )
if it is there it would cover CCP's back, the same as going into low sec you get a warning. I really can't believe there are people that wouldnt take the time to check before buying.
The most interesting ones since players aren't fooled so easily any more is Escrow: 35 mil description: Local Hull Cargo Expander ---> actual item Local Hull Nanofibers or Hull conversions. Something real close but not quite. New player (one that never had a local hull expander) would probably not be able to tell its not the right kinda module. Pretty sad tbh that a)escrow is full of crap like this and b) people still buy them
